This is a question many of my clients ask me – “why would anyone want to work with me when others are offering what I have to offer; only their programs are cheaper?”
This is usually in reply to a suggestion from me to increase their prices, or, to offer a high-end program.
The thing is, when you compare yourself to others you are not comparing apples with apples.
Have you felt as though you will lose clients or not sign up people because you believe they are thinking your programs are too expensive?
My guess is that you often doubt yourself. You feel as though you cannot charge more because that voice in your head is saying … why me? Why would people purchase what I am offering? Why would people pay me more?
The fact is, people will connect with you and buy your program because you are YOU!
YOU are your point of difference.
YOU are the reason they want to work with you.
Even if you are offering a similar program to that of others, the difference is YOU.
It may be your personality, it may be your knowledge, it may be how you deliver your program, and it may be any number of reasons why they want you. Maybe it’s because they see themselves in you. Maybe they understand that you have been where they are now.
Often the people you attract into your business are people who are where you were about 5 years ago.
There may be reasons you will never know about.
The thing is, they want YOU.
I suggest it will be one of two things happening in your world right now.
- You are comparing yourself to others and what they are offering
- You do not believe in yourself
Trust that you are in the right place offering the right program at the right price for where you are now. And, trust that there is enough business to go around. By that I mean, no matter how many people there are in your niche, there will be clients for you.
Some time ago at a 3-day workshop with my mentor at the time, I asked the question, “should I have a high end program?” and the answer was yes. Well, the answer was – “YES!!!. You should ALWAYS offer a high end program”.
The answer was so obvious that I felt a little silly for having asked the question!
There is a place in the market for high end products, just the same as there will be people wanting to work with coaches, mentors and consultants who are offering the high end programs.
You’ll attract a very different market when you believe in yourself.
If you are tired of your clients not showing up, or defaulting on their payments, consider lifting your prices.
The more people pay you the more they will show up and do the work. They will value you even more.
Believe in yourself, trust yourself and offer your programs at a price that you believe is the right price for the amazing value you add to the people you attract and who work with you.
You are worth it!!
