It occurred to me with all the hype of the Olympics right now in Rio that many people in business could learn from the Olympians and how they go about their plan to compete.
In particular I was thinking of coaches, mentors and consultants building a business.
You must be prepared to do what others are not prepared to do. You must be dedicated, willing to make sacrifices, and to have complete focus.
Think of the athletes. They have one focus. Their focus is to compete in the Olympics.
They are willing to sacrifice whatever they need to sacrifice, they are dedicated to training, and they are completely focused for the 4 years leading up to the Olympics. They are committed to doing whatever it takes for 4 years.
If you were committed to one thing, growing your business, and were dedicated to staying completely focused and doing whatever you had to do to be successful, you would certainly move your business in the right direction.
I see and hear from so many coaches who are not willing to stand out, to be dedicated and completely focused and to make sacrifices that will ultimately build their business.
What if you were to commit to yourself to dedicate your complete focus for the next 4 years to building your business? Four years may sound like a long time, however in the grand scheme of building a business it really is not very long at all.
Simply put, it is a decision.
Have a plan.
Break the plan down into a structure that is workable in bite size chunks.
Keep your focus on the end goal.
Then make a start.
Start today!
