Very often I had found myself trying hard to make things happen. Such as growing a business and making lifestyle choices.
Then last year, I learnt to let go. [and how to let go is a whole other blog!]
Once I let go of what I though I SHOULD do, everything was in flow. Being in flow is a sensation of everything going smoothly and easily with very little energy being used. Whatever you’re doing just seems right and easy, and life seems to be a lot more fun.
Tapping more into my feelings rather than forcing a decision of what I needed at the time, is was then I decided to travel to India for the very first time earlier this year.
During a radio interview where I was being interviewed with two other empowered women, that I sate listening to Jenni Mears speaking about her organised trips to India.
Then I felt it.
I knew this was for me.
Jenni ad I spoke at length the next day, however I had already made up my mind.
It was a spur of the moment decision because my gut feeling was shouting out aloud telling me to go. And before I knew it, I was booked and on a flight with 8 beautiful women. We came together although we were all on our separate journeys. I spent quite a lot of time on my own the first week. Although I certainly did connect with the other empowered women, I was there to find more from within myself, and did not know what was to come next, however I trusted I was on the right path.
I trusted feelings and never questions the reason as to why I had made this decision.
It was the right one.
We all have feelings. Learning to tap into your feelings and knowing why you feel what you feel is empowering. To begin with you will feel differently about your choices and not use up so much energy trying to do what you believe others think is right for you, instead you will know what is right.
Perhaps you are someone who wants to know the end game before you make a decision. Maybe you are not willing to go out on a limb and be a little more spur of the moment even though you feel it would be right, or fun, or an adventure.
Give it a go. Trust.
I love these words Lisa Messenger recently posted on Social Media:
“I no longer force things.
What flows, flows.
What crashes, crashes.
I only have space and energy
for the things that are
meant for me.”
At the moment I am sitting in beautiful Far North Queensland writing these words, and I’ve been asked many times when I am going home to Melbourne. The answer has been in still is, I don’t know. I really don’t. I have not purchases my air ticket as yet.
It is just a flight, and I can make that decision anytime.
The feeling I have is one of freedom. There is none of this, only 5 days to go, or 2 days to go, you know those feeling whilst you are enjoying a holiday. (same thing as working here)
I’ll know when to purchase the ticket, it could be a feeling or a meeting to attend to. But it will be the right time.
As my cousin Jaimie says, “the time you arrive is the right time to arrive”.
I love those few words. When you arrive anywhere is the right time to arrive!
Let go and you may just discover how amazing, fierce, courageous, spontaneous, powerful and empowered you really are.
And then allow the flow of what you really want to do take you there.
Let the feelings in and then live by them.
Here’s to your fabulous life!
